Bonkers Book Competition

On 25th March Elson is having their own version of World Book Day so we can celebrate it all together now that children who were at home have come back into school.

Each class / year group will enjoy books, book talk and book related activities all day!

If you haven’t already submitted your bunting with a drawing of the front cover and title of your favourite children’s book (children and other family members may take part in this) then you still have time. Please bring to school no later than Tuesday 23rd March! If you have brought it in already thank you so much- they are brilliant!

Lee on Solent Bookshop are bringing all the free world book day books into school and shall set up a stall either in the hall or in the playground – The children will be given their world book day voucher and can choose their very own book to keep forever!
Bonkers Books competition winners announced- don’t panic you still have time to enter!
Masked Reader competition winners shall be announced too! (one per year group – selected at random from entries).
It is such a shame and we are sad that we cannot invite you all in to celebrate books with us this year however we would like it very much if you would welcome us to your homes instead! Each night next week, one of the grown ups in school shall share a bedtime story with you at 18:00. You will receive a text with a link, that will take you to a video on our website to enjoy the story. So, get your pjs on, make a hot chocolate, snuggle a favourite teddy and let us read you a bedtime story!

Thank you as always for your kind support!

Reminder-there is no requirement to dress up for world book day this year.
