Art and Design

At Elson Infant School, children will be taught and given the opportunity to explore and refine a range of artistic skills with a variety of techniques and materials equipping them on their creative journey. The children will also study artists from the past and present.

The artistic elements that are covered across the school include: drawing, painting, printing, mixed media, textiles, sculpture, collage and digital art.

Art Event Nov 2024

We love ART! Take a look at some of our pictures from our recent Art event and the lovely displays that have been created from this.

         

 

Winchester Art Project Dec 2023

We have been selected to take part in an exciting art project facilitated by Winchester Cathedral. The Year 1 children will work with the artist Alice Kettle to create bespoke artwork that will be displayed in the Cathedral. Our artwork will go on tour around the country for all to enjoy.

   

        

   

 

Decoration Workshop Nov 2023

Parents were invited into class to make Christmas decorations with their child.  Lots of fun was had and amazing decorations were made.

     

Big Draw Event Nov 2023

This is our annual Autumn art event. The children demonstrated excellent creativity and determination and some fantastic artwork was created- we can’t wait to display it in our art gallery.
